The 2011 1-Series convertible from BMW is a nimble sports car that lets in the sun. The rear-wheel-drive drop-top comes in three variations with two drive train choices. The 128i and 128i SULEV versions share the same smooth revving six-cylinder engine that puts out 230 horsepower. The 135i comes with a more powerful, turbocharged six-cylinder engine and additional performance improvements.
A 6-speed manual transmission is standard equipment on all 1-Series cars, but there are automatic transmission options available. The 128i and 128i SULEV can be ordered with a 6-speed automatic, and the 135i can come with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic.
Base standard equipment on all trims of the 1-Series BMWs include light weight alloy wheels, no-cost leather seats, 8-way adjustable front seats, and an AM/FM/CD/MP3 audio with auxiliary input. And BMW offers an impressive list of upgrade options.
